Welcome to ARCAENEUM, a solo-dev passion project that turns your living room into a hazardous magic circle. No buttons. No triggers. Just you, your hands, and the sudden realization that you’re a natural-born pyromaniac.
ARCAENEUM is a colocation multiplayer duel where gesture recognition meets pure, unadulterated chaos. Want to see your friend panic?
1. Make a fist, palm facing upwards
2. Do a gesture:
- Punch: Launch high-velocity Fireballs.
- SweepDown: Erect a searing Firewall.
- PullUp: Summon a Firetornado that clears the room.
3. Defend yourself
It’s local multiplayer like you’ve never seen. Look your opponent in the eye, wave your hands like a madman, and try not to set the "virtual" curtains on fire.
REQUIREMENTS:
You will need a Meta Quest 3 or Quest 3S to play.
SETUP:
1. Download the .apk file.
2. Download SideQuest on your Desktop
3. Sideload the .apk file to the headset
4. Make sure to check out the Youtube tutorials on how to play the game. There is no in-game tutorials so most definitely CHECK OUT THE TUTORIALS ON YOUTUBE!

Since this is a Colocation Multiplayer experience, you are sharing a physical space with another human being who is also blinded by a headset.
- Clear the Floor: Move the coffee table, the cat, and the sharp-edged minimalist furniture.
- The "Buddy System": Even though you can see their avatar, remember they have a physical body. If you swing a firetornado and hit your friend in the jaw, that’s a "you" problem, not a "game code" problem.

I am a solo developer, not an insurance agent. I take zero responsibility for:
- Broken controllers.
- Shattered TV screens.
- Sprained ankles.
- The inevitable "I forgot where the wall was" moment.
3. Play it Smart
Please use your VR guardian/boundary systems correctly. If the game tells you to dodge, make sure you aren't dodging into a bookshelf.
TL;DR: You are a powerful wizard, but your living room is made of glass and wood. Play responsibly, stay aware of your physical surroundings, and don't sue the dev because you got too excited summoning a fireball.
